🎯 Context & Objectives

As part of the development of an innovative platform dedicated to omics data analysis (genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic), we are seeking an experienced Data Engineer specialized in data governance, data lineage, and the OMOP data model.

You will play a central role in structuring complex data pipelines, ensuring traceability, compliance, and interoperability with healthcare industry standards.


🧠 Main Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain robust, fully traceable data pipelines integrating transcriptomic and clinical data.

  • Implement data lineage solutions to ensure end‑to‑end traceability of omics data transformations.

  • Deploy and maintain the OMOP CDM for the standardization of clinical and biological data.

  • Collaborate with bioinformatics and medical teams to integrate transcriptomic data within a governed, interoperable framework.

  • Define and enforce data governance standards: cataloguing, quality, security, compliance (GDPR, HIPAA…).

  • Contribute to data system architecture, considering the requirements of healthcare and research environments.

  • Implement monitoring, documentation, and visualization tools for data flows.

Profil recherché

🧰 Required Skills

Technical

  • Proficiency with data engineering tools: Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, etc.

  • Experience with data lineage and governance solutions (OpenMetadata, Collibra, Talend…).

  • Strong knowledge of the OMOP CDM and OHDSI ecosystem (Atlas, etc.).

  • Experience working with transcriptomic data (RNA‑seq, gene expression…).

  • Strong database expertise (SQL, NoSQL) and modern data architectures (Data Lake, Data Mesh…).

  • Proficiency in Python.

  • Cloud knowledge.

Functional

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and autonomy.

  • Experience in regulated or standards‑driven environments (healthcare, pharma, research…).


🎓 Profile

  • Engineering degree or Master’s in computer science, data engineering, or biotechnology.

  • 5–7 years of experience in data engineering with specialization in governance, lineage, and OMOP modeling.

  • Experience in the healthcare or biotechnology sector is highly valued.
